Engineering Overview & Design Highlights
Jay Mahakali Engineering & Fabricators (JMEF) specializes in design, fabrication, and third-party inspection of ASME Section VIII Division 1 and IS 2825 compliant Industrial Pressure Vessels. Manufactured in our heavy engineering bay in Vatva GIDC, Ahmedabad, these pressure vessels are engineered for critical applications involving pressurized gases, compressed air, hazardous chemical synthesis, and high-pressure steam.
Working Principle & Mechanical Operation
Fabricated with precision cold-formed dished heads (torispherical or 2:1 semi-ellipsoidal) welded to rolled heavy steel cylindrical shells via submerged arc welding (SAW). The vessel safely stores or processes gases and liquids under severe positive or negative (full vacuum) pressures, monitored by ASME safety relief valves, calibrated rupture discs, and digital pressure transducers.
Salient Features & Technical Advantages
-
Designed and fabricated in compliance with ASME Section VIII Div 1, IS 2825, and BS 5500 codes.
-
100% Non-Destructive Testing: Full radiography (X-Ray), Ultrasonic testing (UT), and Dye-Penetrant (DPT).
-
Hydrostatically pressure-tested up to 1.5 times the maximum allowable working pressure (MAWP).
-
Outfitted with heavy forged weld-neck flanges, calibrated ASME safety relief valves, and manhole assemblies.
-
Third-party inspection available by Lloyd's Register, TUV, Bureau Veritas, SGS, and Engineers India Ltd (EIL).
