Working Principle & Mechanical Operation
The agitator drive motor transfers torque through a precision reduction gearbox and mechanical seal down a rigid center shaft. Depending on process rheology, specialized impellers create either axial flow (for blending and particle suspension), radial flow (for gas dispersion), or tangential anchor scraping (for heat transfer across heated vessel walls).

How do you select the correct impeller for viscous materials?
For high-viscosity materials (above 10,000 cP), we supply Anchor or Helical Ribbon agitators with wall scrapers. For low-viscosity liquid-liquid blending, hydrofoil or marine propellers deliver optimum pumping numbers with minimum power draw.
